Frequently asked questions — Darlaston
Is Easy Motor Disposal based in Darlaston?
Yes — our yard is at Tramway Close, Darlaston, Wednesbury, WS10 8LJ. Easy Motor Disposal is a trading name of EasySalvage Ltd, and we have been based in Darlaston since 2001. When you call us, you are speaking directly to the local team who will collect your vehicle.
How quickly can you collect in Darlaston?
Because our yard is in Darlaston, we can often collect the same day you call — sometimes within a few hours. Call us on 0121 389 3555 as early as possible and we will do our best to arrange collection that day. Next-day collection is almost always available.
Do you collect non-running cars in Darlaston?
Yes — we collect non-runners, flat batteries, engine failures, gearbox problems, accident-damaged vehicles and insurance write-offs in Darlaston every day. Our drivers are equipped to collect vehicles that cannot be driven, so there is no need to arrange a tow truck or deliver the car to our yard.
What happens to my car after you collect it?
It depends on the type of quote. If you accept a scrap quote, your vehicle will be processed at our Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) in Darlaston, where it is depolluted and dismantled in full compliance with UK environmental regulations, and you will receive a Certificate of Destruction (CoD). If you accept a salvage or used vehicle quote, no CoD is issued because the car is being sold as a used vehicle and may be repaired or resold rather than scrapped.
Do I need to bring the car to your yard?
No — we come to you. Our free collection service means one of our drivers will come to your home or any other Darlaston address at a time that suits you. There is no need to deliver the vehicle to our yard, even though we are based locally.
